Intech credit union recognised huge areas of unproductivity surrounding the management of human resources functions in their business. Their archaic system was not keeping up with the modern digital era. Payslips were delivered on paper and needed to be reprinted if it was lost.
The leave request process involved sending an email to be approved, then loading it into a calendar and ensuring it was put into the payroll systems for processing. And this list goes on…

Transitioning to Employment Hero reduced the amount of time Intech’s staff spent processing and managing the payroll function, including a lot of the administration tasks that are now automated. In fact, using the employment hero platform has freed up 25% of time for Intech payroll division.
Intech has access to all the tools from recruitment, paperless onboarding, HR documents, reporting, performance reviews, employee self-service, workplace health and safety, and an employee benefits program.
The online portal also gives staff a quick access point to be able to view pay slips, request leave online and see their annual salary review letters without having to contact the HR team.
Intech’s chief risk officer Mark Harrison said. “I think our staff really enjoy the additional functionality that they have now got, they have got more control around what they can access and go back and look at things and put their leave in,”
Mr Harrison adds that there have been good gains in terms of time and resource being put into other areas of the business such as compliance and risk-based improvements and enhancements.
